I am a geek. He’s good looking. I can’t seem to let him go because he’s the only one that took me out in public. Am I stupid to want to hold on?

I’m holding on because I feel like I won’t ever Get taken Out in public again. He’s the only guy that has ever followed his word to take me out in public. But it’s almost like I feel strung along. I’m assuming he doesn’t know what he wants but I get very sad.

It's unfortunate you've gotten this sad about something others have given you and seem possibly you may lose that opportunity. I hope for you that you see it's LESS him taking you out than YOU going out and building yourself to be someone special to yourlself

Nope and, believe it or not, he might just marry you.
I know a couple just like that... He was a very good looking guy (and smart) and he went for a girl who was rather geeky looking. They've been together for about 36 years now.
