I’ve been off and on with this guy, what should I do?

So I have been on 3 dates with him but never alone, always with my friend and his friend. We really clicked and talked but he never knew when to take me seriously cause im always joking and didn’t want to chase that much cause He’s not that kind of a guy (That’s what his friend told me). Anyway we stopped talking and hanging out but after some months we saw eachother again and he dmed me. We texted for a while but it didn’t last that long. Then I posted a story and he replied and told me how pretty I am (he was always complimenting me before) and sent me request on snapchat. We talked there a lot and he asked me to go out with him but always after 11pm so i declined twice. So then i told him we can go out another day so it doesn’t look like i rejected him but he Said he couldnt. Yesterday we saw eachother in a Pub and he and his friends waved at me when they were leaving. So he texted me today that when he saw me yesterday he was pretty shocked and that im so beautiful. So now i dont know on what terms i am with him, he was always pretty shy so maybe That’s why he's not asking me to see me. I mean i dont know if i really Like him but this situation is bugging me lol
