Why does a guy ghost after he makes future plans?

first date seemed great. he said he wanted to hang out again. as soon as he got back home he ghosted me now. why even make future plans to meet up, if you know you never will?

That guy is a jackass and a coward. He lied to make his exit easy on himself. He couldn't even do the right thing and exit honestly and gracefully. Be thankful he's gone and DO NOT respond if he ever tries to get in touch. Total silence.

If you're not feeling it, you exit like a man and tell her you're exiting the scene but do as little damage in the process as you can. Part with mutual respect. You tried, one of you wasn't feeling it. Be honest. Accept the discomfort that comes with your choice to try and then end it.

Something I've learned about people who ghost: they tend not to actually have reasons for doing what they do.

Males are focused on making things happen. He was lying to himself ( more importantly you ), had time to self reflect then disappeared. The inability to communicate was obviously immature.
