It has been established that women are attracted to the top ten percent of men and that even average women reject average men. When a elite man is fucking six young women, all six women will claim they have a boyfriend even though he states he doesn't have a girlfriend.

However, as stated in my original question, I don't believe the percentages of singles as stated are factual. I believe that either the young men and young women define single differently, or else their interpretations of their relationships are different.

@abc3643 Per Wikipedia, in legal definitions for interpersonal status, a single person is an individual not in a committed relationship, married, or part of a civil union. We can eliminate widowed, a civil union, and/or same sex partnership as insignificant.

On that basis, the numbers are impossible. According to the U. S. Census Bureau (2024) the age of first marriages is 30.2 for men and 28.6 for women. Therefore, women dating older guys would account for less than 20% of the difference. Single young men in a committed relationship with multiple single women might add a maximum of 10%. That is, if the percentage for men is accurate, the maximum percent of single women is {1 - [1.3(1 - 0.63)]} = 52%, and that is pushing it.

I don't have time to comment now, but don't bother with Wikipedia. Pew always does this: Like all good science experiments (and anything scientific involving statistics), there needs to be unambiguous definitions and a description of methods used. This is because this stuff needs to be documented so as to have an independent party be able to replicate the experiment and get similar results.

Pew reports do that. They document what they mean by single or in a committed relationship and discuss how they conducted the survey. This lets the reader objectively determine the quality of the experiment and results.

You nailed it. TBH this is pretty standard and an old narrarative. I know many say top 10, but it's probably closer to the top 20% of men who get about 80% of women. I would bet that the study you mentioned yourself is actually lower in both directions as women reluctant to admit they are sharing a man would probably fall into the single category and more guys not wanting to admit that they are stuck w/ one girl proably also admitted to being single.

If you look on page four of the statistics you can also see that only 25% of men are looking for a relations specifically, while nearly 20%more women are looking for a relationship. That may be a reason. Men are much more looking for hookups or are ok with just doing hookups.

These numbers are basically them same as they always have been, though out history only about 40% of men have married and had families and the other 60% did not marry and have families.

What makes the numbers seem different is that the female population has grown while the male population has remained stagnant or has declined some. So with more female, their will be more single females because the same 40% of males now have more females to chose from.

Women have also set crazy standards, which realistically can't be met which is also making them more likely to end up single.

I believe you are correct in that DNA evidence as established that throughout human history that on average 80% of females reproduced but only 40% of males. However, percentages can vary by a significant amount. Google, "8,000 years ago, 17 females reproduced for every 1 male."

I believe that 100 years ago until the 1960s, the rations were close to equal. Now, it appears that the percentages of both males and females who reproduce are decreasing. 40% of males reproducing may be correct but it may not be much higher for females.

I disagree, that currently, there are more females than males; especially, in the reproductive years of ages 50 and under. There are 105 to 106 males born to every 100 females. And, per the US Census, for every age below 45-49, there are more males than females. Above age 50 and especially above age 70 there are significantly more females than males.

Anyway the original sin here is modern feminism. This causes young men to become jaded men turn to pseudo ideologies (Andrew Tate, incel culture, etc.). Then jaded men can screw things up with when they encounter decent women. Then these decent women become disillusioned with jaded men and might become more apt to modern feminism.
