I saw my childhood friend looking through my boyfriend’s phone. Should I say something?

We were all hanging out and she picked up his phone and started going through it while he was away. I haven’t told her I saw it, but it felt really wrong. I don’t know if I should bring it up or just forget about it. What would you do?

That is a massive breach of not only his boundaries but yours too. That's YOUR boyfriend not hers so WTF is she doing looking through his phone in the first place. This is going behind your back and your boyfriends and why she's doing it I have no idea. The only things I can come up with is the either wants him for herself or she's trying to sabotage your relationship. Also snooping through your SO's phone is a massive privacy violation. I believe partners should actually have open phone policies and give each other access for multiple reasons but you have to be in a very, very deep relationship with a strong connection. Like I'm talking you should be considering marriage before you take that step. This whole thing stinks of something off watch your back around your friend she's either trying to break you two up or steal him from you.

Was it a nude photo of her? I think you are entitled to ask about their relationship. That she went through his phone seems to display some familiarity and sense she is entitled to.

It all implies a guy girl relationship existed and it is fair for you to know about it. Just be mature in raising it and avoid phrasing like "Did you fuck that hoe"

What kind of friend is that? A phone's content is personal. She violated privacy 101.

Dunno what kind of friendship you two have, but that kind of boundary breaking is a reason to tell her to stay away for some time. That's "breakup" behavior, in my opinion.

Try and go through her phone. Then go through his phone lol.

Then analyze. Then ask her why she went through his phone. And ask him what he thinks about the “isn’t that wild?” event of her going through his phone.

She’s either interested in him. Wanting to affair with him. They could’ve affair-ing lol

Or she doesn’t know the meaning of boundaries.

Best case scenario was she was chill and sees it like family. Or wanting to see if she could find dirt on him for you, or just check on him for you. But nothing you couldn’t do yourself.

Friends don’t really check each other’s phones. That’s more safety check for partners or a sign of intimacy/trust. It’s not the you or my phone but our phones type of thinking.

The fact she did this is a red flag 🚩 in my opinion.

I’d be on the ready to delete her as a friend and him also. If they want to hook up, they’ll do that nasty. And you wouldn’t be able to control what they’re thinking feeling or sense of morals nor loyalty. The best thing you could do is cut them off before they do it under your nose and on your time, disrespecting your name and who you ought to be to them- as a friend- and a girlfriend.
