1st date guy receives 3 calls, he rejects the first 2- does he have a girlfriend/wife?

1st Date towards the end, the guy recevied 3 calls total, he ignored the first 2 in a row, then finally answered the 3rd call. He stepped away, I could still hear the breif phone call. He mentioned that he would ne "Home" in 1/2 an hour. I found that an odd choice of words. When he came back, I joked and said was that your wife, he said no his roomate. I never had the chance to ask if the said roomate was a woman. Who would call 3 X, to me this sounds like girlfriend/Wife behavior. If it is a woman roomate, what was so urgent she had to call 3 X! I plan on asking him either tonight before our 2nd date tomorrow.

Definitely a line of questioning that should be pursued. On the other hand I always have my phone silenced and face down when I'm out with friends on my own time. I get all sorts of interruptions (voice, text, email) from people without boundaries and/or entitled clients all the time. They need to learn to wait. I check my phone maybe once an hour. If nobody's bleeding out on the side of a road, the phone goes face down again. My kids and ex have a way to reach me for family emergencies by overriding my phone settings. No one else! They have never used it.

Im talking to him later today. Calling 3 X when it didn't sound like an emergency sounds like GF_Wife entitlement behavior.. Thanks for your input! 😁
