I take great pride in being a normal, pure human being and someone immortal - vampire/sorcerer/demigod whatever - in my opinion would be warped version of a human being at best and a false God at worst.

I remember I used to play Skyrim some ten years ago and there was a whole questline with your character becoming friends with a 4000 years old vampire girl. Online many people wanted her to be a marriageable option for the romance options in the game, while I was happy it wasn't possible.

I even had a weird dream where we basically argued and she broke up our friendship - with the real me, not my game character - because I held the same views as today and plus her being a vampire made her an abomination in my eyes.

The real question is why would an immortal choose to date me? I'm not going to be around that long. They'd tire of me and I'd be gone too soon in their eternal lifespan.

Now, I bet they're be an interesting kind of person. But you might remember Lestat, that vampire. He wasn't very interesting, was he? He was just about drinking people and killing and hanging around. He wasn't intelligent. And neither were the other old-world vampires in Paris. They simply existed.

Not sure eternal life means eternally interesting and worthwhile.

Probably not, it is likely that they would be very hard hearted after having lived through watching everything they ever cared about leave them behind and I wouldn't want to add to that misery. If I could be made immortal as well, then maybe.
