Yeah pretty much title says it all. I've been talking to a guy from hinge and he is about 1.30hrs away. Conversation was going well he seems genuinely nice. He is talking about coming up to my county and then said this; We can sort something out for meeting up, I don’t mind grabbing a hotel somewhere and seeing a new place, matter of fact I’m looking forward to it 😏🫣

Well if you feel uneasy about it then maybe you have a reason to be. You’re meeting someone you never met before in a hotel. Online dating is sketchy as it is already you can be direct and tell him you’re nervous and don’t feel comfortable meeting at a hotel. Don’t be a coward and ghost him but just be honest.

Since everyone is assuming this means sex, I'll mention the other possibility. Maybe its the exact opposite. By getting a hotel it means he's not assuming he'll be staying with you. This could actually be a gentlemanly thing.

Getting a hotel for sex is obvious. But I wanted to offer the other possibility.

Just ask him. Or tell him you don't have plans of having sex. I would even avoid leading him on with a "maybe". Just tell him you don't plan on sex the first time you meet. If sex is all he's after, you'll find out real fast. If he is interested long term he can wait.
