Why am I still part child despite the fact I am almost 30?

When I was on a date, I ran so I could save us some seats before anyone else could take them. My date who was 33, just laughed at me.

I also drove and played around with a fire truck, yelled curse words at other cars over the microphone in the truck.

I can definitely be mature, I'm a medical professional and deal with human lives on a daily basis. But when it comes to personal life, I can act like a child at times

Probably because, so far, that's how you spent the bulk of your life. Besides, there's nothing wrong with hanging onto your kid side. Let her/him come out and play, once in a while!! Have you never seen adults playing at least with THEIR kids if not just a random group of kids?
Someone I love VERY MUCH has a collection of dolls and that's perfectly okay!! [Crying a little.]
When I was a kid, I used to love going to local construction sites, usually with my friends, and we'd sit on the sand pile in front of the site and use our hands to build roads for our Hot Wheels cars and such and my specialty was building tunnels into the sand!! One day, in my 40's, I hadn't done this for quite some time and all of said friends had moved away or died and there was a big sand pile right next to my house, for some construction going on around the corner so, one evening, I went out to the pile, sat on it and built a bunch of roads and a few tunnels At that point, I couldn't immediately access my Hot Wheels cars (I still had them and lots of the track to run them on but I couldn't find the key for the room they were locked away in). The point was, I had enough of a good time just building the roads and tunnels. No need to play with the cars, too. I wish I still had them!! Every great once in a while, I get the urge to whip them out and play with them!! I WISH I could've AT LEAST passed them onto my kids, if I ever have any!! Those cars might be worth a fortune, now, being at least 50 years old!!
There's a huge sand pile a block from here right now and I'm tempted to go build roads and tunnels in it!!
Did you ever hear of Robin Williams or Pee Wee Herman? They practically made a career out of being childlike!! And, there's a huge difference between being childlike and childish!! Not many people like the latter. Even when you ARE a child!!
If anything, hanging onto to your kid side keeps you younger!! I still don't feel like I'm past my late 20's!

Yewww haw. Because your a fire girl... because you know who you are and who you want to be. And that is you... and happy I'm old enough to be your grand pa and I would have done the same thing and probably more.

It might have And virused my son a little bit but I doubt it because he's a fireman paramedic, but he also knows I'm going to live life.

This is my life and as long as I can keep doing what I do keep giving of self then I can act the way I act. There are 2 different kind of people in this world. First one is how many birthday cakes they have had they feel and get the mind set there tired.

Then there they 2nd. Type there body might be old but there mind tells them they are in there twenties. So if you feel you become it knowing full well you know who you are.

So whatever you do never change because you'll always be happy this way

There's nothing wrong with having fun, and that's not limited to children.

Adults can act goofy and have fun, too, as long as they can also act like an adult when the situation calls for it. If I went on a date with a woman that knew how to be fun & goofy, I'd find it endearing

That's not childish, that's how adults SHOULD be. As long as you're enjoying it, in control of it and harming no one (curse words on a PA system REALLY?) then you're adulting properly.

He laughed at you because it's nice to see someone enjoy PLAYING That seems to be a lost art for many WOMEN especially though not completely as guys will always find some toys and games (sport) to be engaged in.
