Why is hight often part of dating site questions but not weight or bust size?

it's almost like dating sites care exclusively about what women are looking for and don't give a shit about what men are looking for.

if you don't know what i mean: hight is above all else the primary attractiveness marker that statistically speaking draws the most female attention. meanwhile the things that draw male attention: a shapely figure and bust size is never mentioned on these sites as a question.

do you think there's good reason for this or is it just coincidence?

probably more because both men and women might have fairly strong preferences about the height of their partner, while things like bust size is largely exclusive to female users, and traits like weight can fluctuate significantly. People also really don't have a good understanding of what any given weight looks like on a specific frame, so it's not a useful measure. (ex. 140lb on a short person vs a tall person vs a body builder etc are all super different), so it's not a terribly useful metric

Suffice to say, height probably is only added because it's something both gender are opinionated on and is also fairly straightforward in terms of permanence and perception. Most other filters are either similarly immutable (age), or are direct, intentional lifestyle choices (ex. religion, smoking habits, etc).

Besides, the pictures in theory show those sorts of things anyway, and it's up to you if you choose to swipe on women you're not sure if are your type or not visually.

Any I don't think it's about being able to change the trait or not? It's more about what people consider to be dealbreakers in terms of metrics, whether the trait is mutable or immutable. Dating apps kind of bank on their perceived ability to help you find a partner faster by sorting through which profiles are most relevant to your preferences.

And let's be real, most people aren't concerned with the literal weight of their partner. If they care, it's that they care how the person appears. In which case, just stop and look at the pics. It's easier to lie on a filter than in a picture anyway.

yeah that's my point tho. women are attracted to other traits then men. and the most attractive trait to women is hight period. there's litterally no single trait that's more attractive to women. and sure for a relatsionship other things matter on both sides but the initial attraction is vital or else you never even get to start talking to each other. and the metrics that men are most attracted to isn't visible on the profile so i think that on top of the unfair dynamic on dating sites, dating sites are also rigging it while it on top it already being unfair to men.

i personally am also not really that obsessed with the litteral number but i do have quite a bit of experience with expecting a "normal" girl cause the images made her look normal and then when we ment, she was fat, so it would be rerally cool to have the number on the page just so i can avoid wasting my time.

And again, it is literally easier to lie on filters than in pics. If someone is going to lie, then they're going to lie. Putting the filter won't stop you from getting catfished if someone is intent on doing so.

Their preferences are seen as acceptable, while male preferences are seen as offensive, or misogynistic. It's nothing but a double standard, but one which women embrace, because it benefits them.

A woman wanting a tall man is "her choice" but a man not wanting a fat woman is "toxic." Ironic, since only one of those things can be changed.

Because it's typically a lot easier to tell the weight of someone from a picture than thier height. I know women think thier hiding thier gut with the over-the-head-looking-up-at-the-camera shot. Or the lying-down-camera shot. But they're not. Every guy see right through that. Height on the other hand you need something for scale. Or she could be anywhere from 5 foot to 7 foot.

You're not going to get any female accountability on this. In their 20s women have the world at their feet. On instagram alone they probably get 50 messages or more a week. It all comes back to who has the power in any transaction.

You see it even on this website. A lot of the women in their 20s are quite 'badly behaved' shall we say. Quite egoistical. They know they have all the power and are used to getting what they want. Used to getting 100s of compliments etc.
