How you deal with your guilt?

Most guilt stems from a position of delusional narcissism


Thinking we’re somehow supposed to be above making mistakes
So when we do anyway it’s something we beat ourselves over


That’s guilt over a mistake


Now guilt over a decision is different.
If you chose to hurt someone or betray them willingly then dealing with that guilt will take making it right somehow


You won’t just shake it off

Live. Everyone makes mistakes in life. All we can do is accept we're human and move on and move on. Can't dwell our whole lives on it or feel shame about it forever.

Shut it down. Few things are worth feeling guilty over. Lots of other feeling are worthwhile, but rarely guilt.

Ask God for forgiveness and live a clean and moral life. If you don't want to do that then it really doesn't matter. Because you're really not serious about it then. There is NOTHING that God will not forgive you for if you are genuinely sorry, will not repeat it, and will do better going forward.
