It depends on you you have to accept it you also have to fix it by being honest with who is ever involved..

You can apologize until your balls are blue it's not going to matter I guess it depends on what you did but that's nobody's business for yours but somewhere somehow you need to not only fix it by being honest you need to go five steps beyond and help other people somehow it is what it is now it's done it's over with you got to carry it each and every day with you until you get something to take its place

That's good question.

I think by finding the root cause of why it happened, addressing the truth (for there are lies in it), healing from that, and accepting responsibility... making amends.

turning 180 and never doing that again and helping others to avoid doing the same.

There are people you could learn from that I met, not srue still alive.

Everyone makes mistakes , so just accept the fact that you made a mistake and
Try to put it in your past as much as possible and don’t make that mistake again. If you make that mistake again , then you will be considered a hypocrite

I don't have long lasting guilt. I wouldn't really even have it if I did something extremely bad either. The past is the past. How I progress is what actually matters.

Definitely depends on what you did but you have to atone for it in some capacity in order to have closure. Whether that be an apology or a genuine change in behavior
