10 moReally depends on why they're homeless. If they're someone who fell on hard times, or just unlucky in a big, cruel world? Sure, I'd date them if they matched my preferences mentally and physically. If they're homeless because of their own actions? Wouldn't they just drag me down or use me?
If I truly believe you'll be a good match with me, and that you could use a second chance, I'd love to help someone get back on their feet and a place to stay. Not because I want someone to be indebted to me, but because they wouldn't be the only one benefitting from my assistance. I'd be getting a partner out of the deal, and so would they.00 Reply

Anonymous(18-24)10 moI would see it as 99.9% impossible to really date a “homeless person”.
It is harder to dig yourself out of debt than it is to get yourself into debt.
To even acquire an adequate job you need a 1) Phone and Computer 2) A Means of Transportation 3) Education AND Experience to Meet Criteria for Job 4) A Good Suit
If you are homeless and can’t dig yourself out or lack resources , you are f*cked.
I will only date someone through dating apps or meeting them naturally through job or at the gym or something so, I would find it impossible to really date a stereotypical homeless individual.

Opinion Owner10 moAlso you need to know person on a 1 to 1 basis to even have good relations to even date somebody let alone homeless. I’m not going to date someone based on their income, lifestyle, or living space though being homeless would affect their ability to get to know me.

10 moI would not. I might give them $10 which they can combine with donations from others so they can pay for a hair cut that might help them get through a job interview and obtain a job which could get them off the streets. I learned by watching Oprah Winfrey there was a cafe manager who purposely hired a homeless woman to help her get off the street. Now the cafe employee is healthy, fit, intelligent, with a full time job, and you would have no clue she was ever on the streets.

1.2K opinions shared on Dating topic. I will date someone financially struggling but lives at home doesn't matter whether it's rented or parents home. No problem at all but completely homeless? No. I care about hygiene of my partner, to be honest and don't want to worry about my partner all the time.

10 moNot going to say never. Being homeless can mean different things. Obviously I wouldn’t want someone whose addicted to drugs and is a criminal or a prostitute. But there are homeless people who aren’t homeless by choice.

10 moI would. I never judge someone based on their financial situation or the misfortunes they've had in their life. I judge them based on their character... and quite honestly... appearance.

10 moIt really depends. If they are living out of their car temporarily or staying in hotels then maybe but if they are on the street, I'm not sure I would.
10 Reply 16.6K opinions shared on Dating topic. It would depend on the overall circumstances, but if she’s homeless because of mental illness or a criminal record, has hygiene problems and possibly an STD, definitely not.

10 moI mean I myself am already extremely mentally unstable. And most homeless people, or at least the ones who STAY homeless and never bounce back; tend to also be extremely mentally unstable. And I hear that even for people who are not initially mentally ill the harsh conditions of homeless life can provoke mental illness.
So either way, not recommended for two extremely unstable people to be together, lol.
The only case I could see this working in is if one is relatively rich and relatively mentally well off, looking to "fix" the homeless person they're in love with. Take the person in, take care of them, help them find a job, etc.
But let's be honest, the vast majority of people are NOT doing that, lol. The image that comes to mind when most people think of "homeless person" is not a good one. They're probably imagining some gross looking middle aged man with a dirty beard who never showers. And that's unfortunately the stereotype.

10 moI highly doubt it.
I am married. I dated for marriage. I was vetting a woman to marry. None of this degenerate that is common in the west now where you just date for "fun" and date around for years. I was only going to marry a virtuous woman.
A woman who lived on the street was most likely on drugs, had sex to get stuff from men. The girl I was after probably still lived with her parents or had just lived on her own for a few years.
How old is a woman that is so far removed from her family and is so on her own that she doesn't even have a place to stay?
What kind of F'd up life does she have?
A situation where I would have dated a woman who was homeless would have been very, very rare.

10 moIf it was a temporary situation, then I guess I could if I knew he had potential. There was a question like this a while back and a friend of mine on here said it would be wonderful, "because when the dates over, I can just drop her off anywhere. I'll save on gas". 🤦

No offense but tell your friend she’s a liar lol 😆 . if theirs one thing that is sure itt that Women want a man that can provide. There’s no way any woman will look at a homeless man romantically let alone date him. Unless out of spite. 90% of women want a six figure man lol and you telling me she would consider dating a homeless one gtfo lol…she was just joking

2.2K opinions shared on Dating topic. For sure, in fact it's probably a great thing. She can move into my bed right away and cuddle me. I don't mind buying her food and some basic stuff if she can't afford it, though I would hope she's on UC so she can afford such stuff.
The only problem is I'm not living by myself, if I had my own flat then no problems at all.00 ReplyNo. They probably be using me to get what they want. I respect them but i wouldn’t date them because of a conflict of interest. And lets be frank here, they’re not exactly the cleanest people in the world. They probably shouldn’t be focused on a relationship at this point anyway. Work on 1 problem at a time

Anonymous(36-45)10 moLiving on the street homeless would be hard. How do you even find them to go on dates if they have no way of contacting them? There would also be a lot of worry with that because living on the streets is not an easy life. Even if they are a good person, a lot of other people, are not. As someone else mentioned, being homeless and couch surfing or living with friends while you sort yourself out is different from someone actually sleeping on the ground, eating out of trash cans homeless.
00 Reply2.9K opinions shared on Dating topic. There are a lot of homeless people around the neighborhood where I work at one of my jobs. I'd say 90% of them are hard drug addicts, on meth or fentanyl. The other 10% are just mentally ill as fuck. I'm not going to deal with either one of those problems.

10 moI guess so, It would depend on why they were homeless. Did I know them before, how did I meet them. But like if a homeless guy just waked up to me with a coupon from taco bell, and asked me out. I'd pass XP

Anonymous(45 Plus)10 moAbsolutely I saw a female that was homeless in North Carolina while I was on vacation it must’ve been temporary cause she looked real good she was actually pretty hot and looked freshened up, but I know they wouldn’t look like that if it was full-time

10 monope. i think if you're homeless, you gott more pressing things to fix in your life than your relationship status and i personally would leave someone to fix that first, cause i'm not gonna deal with it for them.
00 Reply 881 opinions shared on Dating topic. definitely no. most of them are addicts or drunks, and are often severely mentally ill with things like shizophrenia

If she’s homeless. Getting her cookie licked should be the last of her worries
I wouldn’t insert myself into that situation00 Reply
Anonymous(36-45)10 moIm not saying I wouldn't but I'd be casous about bringing her to my place. Considering she's homeless I feel she might rob me, I know I'm stereotyping but still, plus how would you date a homeless person, where would you pick them up from for a date?
