If my online boyfriend said I can do better and I don’t deserve him threatening suicide when I told him no, is he trying to get me to dump?

is he too weak to just dump me so he’s trying to say “oh you’re too good for me”. What should I do or say now to him? Do I keep talking or do I slow fade or what? Do I still trust him? Do I still keep on with the dating?
