At my age, 71, that's a question I could ask myself indeed, and although still being open for a lucky encounter, I do not complain. It's plainly life, and I continue my daily activities in a good mood.

Maybe what we fantasize does not fit the more or less natural evolution of our life, nature, and tendencies.

i remember being 15 and seeing this drop dead gorgeous girl in class. i really wasn't much to look at at that age, but that changed by the end of the year and by 16 i (yes me), had the hottest girl in school wanting me. and she didn't date. but i still held onto those feelings for this other girl that was just as pretty and still got nothing. i saw her around town when we were around 21-23ish. i still saw that she was still dating narcissists. she made an attempt to urge me to ask her out but i couldn't. i don't know if it was that i still had nerves or didn't care at that point. i probably should have pursued it, but she knew me as a person and at 21 i was in peak physical condition. i left without her number on purpose.

but at 15, my go to was playing tetris on the computer, playing def leopard 'have you ever wanted someone so bad?' on repeat from cassette i recorded for this purpose from the radio.

That is IF you are around people that you can interact with. I don't even have that as an option. I'm hoping that after I move more opportunities will happen. But as my life is there is 0 opportunities.

what you don't seem to know is, I live 1/4 of a mile from the nearest neighbor. It is even farther than that to the nearest city. Also I'm not a good driver, and I got nobody that can take me places. Plus I have no reason to go anywhere. Sometimes when I do go places my Dad will yell at me and tell me I'm wasting gas. See why I need to move?

Cycling, public transport if there's any are ways to move around and there's more benefits to spending time in social environments than digital ones

No. Not here! Which is why I need to move. I have lived here for 46 years. Trust me, when I say I need to move. I know what I'm talking about! Even my peers from school, said around here there is nothing to do, and they moved away.

Moving may provide opportunity but it's not a given. I've moved around the world a couple of times and not everywhere has similar attitudes to newcomers.
Absolutely do it though but know there's work needed to achieve these outcomes.

It's nice that you moved around the world. But I don't think you understand my situation. I could pick up a camera right now. Walk outside of my door, and take a pictures all around my area, and you won't see another human being.

Pretty hard to do any kind of work, when there is no humans to do it with. Don't you think?

You don't need to be around others to make work for you to do that will bring others into your realm and you into theirs.

The way my life is currently. No Woman, because there is no opportunities to be with a woman. Not even for casual conversation. I'm hoping that after I move that will change. I literally need to move to another location!

Wherever you go, there you are. You can't run away from problems. And you have to make those opportunities arise. Cheat it. Fake it till you make it. You know! Be bold! "Be brave, professor!"

Lets say you are living in the desert, and there is nobody around you but you. That is basically how I'm living. Which is why I need to move.

I know you don't live in the desert. But I understand your point and I've been there too. It will get better after you're about to explode or implode in your case maybe. Then you'll look around and think, thank God! Because your life will be looking like an actual person's life. Mine never did but I'm fine with it now. 😅
