Should you ask your boyfriend to block your family on social media if you suspect they will be nosy?

I haven’t told my parents about my boyfriend yet but I can suspect that if I do they will do a deep scan into his profile before interrogating me. His Instagram is public also which sucks because they can stalk him but just searching for his last name. Should I ask him to block them on Instagram before they get involved?
