Why couldn’t my mom marry a short man or my dad marry a short woman? Why did I have to be 6’4?

My mom is 5’10 and my dad is 6’7. I’m 6’4 so guess here I got my height from! It was hell being a very tall skinny girl. I even struggled to put on weight because I was very tall and lanky. Ladies embrace your curves! Being skinny isn’t that great. I’m I’m jealous of naturally curvy or thick women. Anyways my mom should have married a shorter man so the height would even out. Same with dad. I would have been just 5’9 or 5’4.

That’s why these 6’4+ men prefer women under 5’7 because they don’t want giant kids. They don’t want very tall daughters.

My son is only 5'5". I'm 5'2". My mom and dad were 5'7 and 5'9". My great-grandmother was 5'4", my grandmother on dad's side 5'6". So where did I come from?

I married a man who was 5'7". So our son is right in the middle of us, too. But he dates women taller than him. He's with a very nice young woman right now who's about 5'9".

I think it's generally about personality. If you have a winning personality and you find a shorter man who has the same, you'll come out great!

Some men are intimidated by tall women, but a LOT of shorter men have great confidence, because they HAVE to, being smaller than the average men around them, and do fabulously with women and their careers.

A cousin of mine must be 4'11". Rodney runs an oil company consulting business, is incredibly confident and his second wife is 5'9". Neither of them appear to have a problem with it. He also makes lots of money. Has a great sense of humor.

My son is the same. Sometimes (at 30), he's been worried about being shorter than average. But today, I think he knows who he is and what he has to give and he exudes this, emanates a cheerful, hardworking disposition and people see him for what he is.

It's not about the package, it's about the content! and ALL OF THIS FRIENDS ARE TALL!!! that's the funny part.

So, stop worrying. Wear heels and hit on all the men you're attracted to. You know there are a few who'll see past your package and love you, long legs and all!!!

The problem you have is that average height for men is 5ft10 which means 6ft and taller guys aren't a rare and high in demand on the dating market. Which means you face increased competition as tall guys can pick and choose. My husband is 6ft6 and im 4ft10. His ex was a 6ft undwewear model, another college cheerleader, another beauty competition winner, another does onlyfans, another is a complete jugo-saurus. So you see the competition that's out there for tall guys. Maybe find a 5ft10 guy with a good job.

@AmazonChick171 I think society is just getting to be too shallow. I am sexually attracted to the female body. But I don't love a woman strictly for her good body. I know that I need someone that I can get a long with too. If that happens to be a Girl that is 7 feet tall, or a Girl that is only 5 feet tall. I'm ok with it. Yes I got my preferences, but the God I believe in, also has a say in who I get with or don't get with.

I wish society would stop being so picky about everything.

Maybe your parents were hoping for children that would play in the NBA later on. Do you have any brothers? I would love to be 6’4” as a guy but I guess it’s awkward for a woman but there’s plenty of guys that would go for tall women and don’t worry about getting thicker, that’s going to happen anyway as you get older. I used to be so skinny when I was younger, now I’m almost 200 lbs at 5’10”

Yeah for some reason really tall guys like really short girls, meanwhile I usually date close to my height, my ex wife was 5’8” , our 3 daughters are 5’5” to 5’7” , shortest I’ve dated was 5’2” . I’m sure you’ll find guys that like really tall women though, if you don’t mind shorter guys

I guess tall guys like to feel dominant, but it’s definitely a thing with tall guys always going for short women but it’s also the women that are choosing them over average height guys, so it’s the short women causing this too
