Why are there more short women (5'2 and under) with tall men rather than short men?

Both are 15% in the population, short women state they don't care about height yet end up with the top 15% of men which are tall rather than the bottom 15%. They state they find it uncomfortable to have a large height difference, yet don't seek out men that are closer in height. Short men are more common than tall men as its more closer to the average rather than being much bigger than it.

Well for years now I stopped bothering about those who don't find me attractive and focuse solely on those who do. Whether it is my skin color, hair, ethnicity, religion, body, age and whatever.

Everyone won't be attracted to me and I won't be attracted to everyone. That's life.

I'm 5'2 and the taller the more attractive the guy is. But I also wouldn't stress out and reject a good guy solely for his height. Now he has to be teller than me and bigger of course. Generally speaking.

I have no idea if I'm right, but I think small people are used to feeling small. I'm a petite person (5'3") and prefer tall guys (~6 feet). One of my close female friends is super tiny (4'11") and I always feel like a giant when I'm around her, simply because I'm not used to being bigger than anyone. I actually like feeling small, and being with tall guys kind of comes with the territory. Being with someone taller can also be helpful. Tall people can see over crowds and reach things on the top shelf.

You hit the nail on the head. Being 6’4 I enjoy being taller than most and feeling masculine. When girls stand next to me they appear smaller and are seen as petite or feminine. Hmm, guys = masculine and girls = feminine.. the way nature intended :)

You realize that most guys from basically 5'7 to 5'11 are 4 to 8 inches taller than you? Thats not a big enough difference? From any perspective a 4 to 8 inch difference is quite big enough, but you need something more than 8 inches taller than you to feel small? That makes absolutely no sense. How is someone under 6 feet such as the range I indicated not enough to make you feel small? It sounds like its more of an insecurity issue for you than guys under 6 feet.

It's hard to dissagree with this issue , why most of us girls are horrible and love to tell openly, about a treat of most men, them NOT tall,- Now properly it's hard to change the ugly way we girls act amd our wrong preference of the wrong men, men that end up hurt most women, by there way of treating them, men who use to be violent as hell, men that will cheat on us, as a lot of equally immature teenage girls will prefer them too. But as everyone must realize , that taboo must changed soon. Right as reading this fantastic question, a question most normal thinking women like myself, should at least think about it, and at the very least be very embarrassed by our terribly shameful choice. After that, we should all be deprived of the opportunity to constantly brag about our wildly discriminatory choices. I'm not saying that our disgusting opt-out of men who are NOT favored with genes that make them high (without having done anything to achieve it) is racist, but it is to be considered at least as disgusting and discriminatory, but we women excel at not worrying at all about why we still do not show signs of starting to treat men at all heights alike, but still shame 80% of all men and make them less please.

As always, there are many who come up with some kind of excuses, all are ridiculous and completely wrong. First, there is a huge difference between embarrassing and ridiculing people for something they CAN change and something they CANNOT change. Height is one of the very few things you can not change. skin color is also something you can not change, one's gender can obviously change albeit difficult. But try to imagine that colored and a certain sex is subjected to the same disgusting treatment as ALL men who are NOT HIGH or just taller than the woman. Yes, I dare not think how much will happen if in 2020 there would be someone who could find a way to shame a certain gender or different races. But to shame men who are not tall is as normal for us women as to breathe, just we are not proud to breathe, but most of us enjoy every time we may come to be disgusting and scornful of men who are not tall. Thought-provoking in the year 2020 where we should be far wiser

@DavidFox do you think we still are animals, your comments make me feel so, pretty immature to think, guess it wasn't a heightist that had the thoughts to bring a man on the moon etc... the way nature intended, I belive we can change our own faith. No men NOT TALL think it nice to be hurt and hummiliated everytime an immature teenager girl , wants do what " NATURE INTENDED" what a bad excuse to act horrible. To you info I'm a 6'8 danish girl who always been doing excatly whay I self intenden, amoung that were always dating guys shorter tan myself, inclusive my hubby for 12 years mow , and he's only 5'11,5 same height as our oldest 10,5 year tall daughter, and I hope she'll be abel to also do what she herself intend to do , and not what " nature intend" choosng a shorter guy properly will be her choise if we as parents done our opbringing correct too

@DavidFox i'll be sad if our daughter turn out an horribel animal, and chose a taller guy, just to satisfy society norms, rsther than her own need. And we ofcause will burst inton tears, just to see our daughter get a Miserable life, and to see just snother woman act different than esrs best, for her. We hope that she'll see that her parents life have been good, though i fidn't follow suit, and didn't fall in love with a tsll guy, but followed my Instinct and chosed what ended up bring glid for us

I have absolutely no idea what Petra is saying, but if she's implying that people are animals for having individual preferences and EagleEye is saying it's an insecurity for a short woman to prefer tall men, that's all just completely absurd. I'm sure they, like all human beings, have a preference when it comes to partners. And if they have zero preferences when it comes to sexual partners? I think that's the biggest insecurity there is... to have zero preferences whatsoever and just go after anything that moves. But hey, to each his own.
