I started talking to a guy who lives in Italy but is Canadian. I’m from Hungary. We met on tinder and had a dinner date. He flew back for a second date. Then asked for third which is planned. He sent me this message after I accidentally didn’t reply to his message for a day. He hadn’t texted me for a week before that. What is this is this normal in Canada? Do I reply? I don’t understand

That’s great! :) I’ve been thinking things over, and I enjoyed the time we spent together and getting to know you a bit. That said, I’m looking for something more mutual.

Basically, this dating site is the perfect example of what a hookup site is all about. Those that go on those sites are actually not really interested primarily in dating but more in getting laid. That said, it looks like this guy has apparently not been able to achieve what he wanted in the first place and that is ultimately to get into your pants.

I guess that it was too much trouble, given the distance and the outcome would have been uncertain.

For him the term "mutual" simply signifies that he wanted to fornicate and that he was unable to and that is why he decided to abort the entire exercise before it became too expensive for him.

Mutual? Mutual means you reciprocate in the same way he does. This was his reason, so you probably didn’t equally do something. This could be anything, but you just have to think a little hard on your end since I wasn’t on the date so I wouldn’t know.

You don’t text him first. Maybe he confused that for you not showing similar interest in him. But mutual can mean many things. It’s the cultural differences too, which probably just means both of you won’t understand each other.

Very much angry 😅 he lived in a different country so it couldn’t be lots of dates.
There was no being used he took me to dinner and golf. With no kiss, so if anything I used him for food I can confirm haha
