Would you date someone who speaks a different language?

I met a Salvadoran guy who made me smile without even trying... and when he did try, the connection felt undeniable. We ended up talking for hours, despite the fact that he primarily speaks Spanish and I don’t. But somehow, just being with him has already taught me more Spanish than I’ve ever learned before. He’s interesting, he’s funny, and he somehow gets me and my sense of humor. Would you give it a chance though?

For me those are the best moments weather they speak another language or not it when you meet someone and you find yourself wanting to be closer to them as if both energy's are magnets

And your just pulling each other in closer and closer and you can feel the warmth of there energy and your blood flows fast and furious
And in that moment there's something in that energy. Then at the same time. the look in there eyes the way they smell your mind races and you know that soft touch. If it happens, There's going to be a connection like no other. And it takes everything you have to be a gentleman or a lady. Even tho everything in your being wants to just let go , be raw and let it happen. Like there is no tomorrow or next day or next day. Only that moment. No that's never happen before... lol

The thing is is that they don't even need to be standing next to you.. they could be on the east coast and I could be on the west coast

And that can happen. And if that person has never felt it before. It freaks them out and they might say something weird is happening I've never felt like this before.

And im only saying that because you know what I mean. Because you have the energy or the power to do and experience that..

 In short—dating someone who doesn’t speak your language keeps things fresh, hilarious, and oddly peaceful. Because love might be universal… but “Where did you put my charger?” in bad translation is eternal. ❤️

I would listen to your gut when you are spending time together. It's how he makes you feel that's important - not his native language that's so important.
When someone "gets you" that's rare these days and it's a very good sign.
I like that the two of you laugh together because people that can laugh in their relationship have a better chance of it working out- friendship or a love relationship.

My current partner is Arab who speaks Arabic , Turkish, English, Chinese and I speak English , Chinese Mandarin, Hokkien , Indonesian, Javanese and some other traditional languages.

And the hardest part if i’m still thinking what’s language our kids should learn. They have higher risk to have speech delays because too much language they heard.

My wife speaks Chinese/Mandarin as her native language. She has been in the US for 30+ years, so she speaks English, but with a heavy Chinese accent and pronunciations that are sometimes rather difficult to unravel. After almost five years, I still have problems understanding her - sometimes - but we always understand after some effort. It is not easy and I think many people would not have the patience to survive such circumstances.

One of my girlfriends was Mexican with a very heavy accent. I had no issues with it.

And I don't think I'd have any issues with dating someone that speaks a different language as long as we're both putting in effort to communicate in each other's language.

For me, having good communication with someone doesn't necessarily mean having the same language, but rather having the same kind of mind.

I'm older, and married, so I'm not in the market to date anyone.

When I was younger, and single, of course I would date someone who speaks a different language. I married a woman whose parents spoke Spanish as their native language. Though they also spoke English, we al enjoyed me learning Spanish and talking with them in their native language.

they would have to speak English or german. german is my first language and i speak English on c1-c2 level so that should be fine. any other language would be too difficult to relate and communicate. so i wouldn't waste my time with that.

NGL, the most chemistry and connection I've ever felt was with a woman who spoke 95% Portuguese. Shit was crazy. It was as if the language barrier gave us the freedom to be genuine, if that makes sense.

I used to talk to a Portuguese girl on here and she was extremely emotionally intelligent. Plus her English was excellent, despite it being her second language. So yes, of course I would.

We need to have a common language that we both speak and understand. It doesn't need to be my mother tongue but we should still be comfortable to communicate properly

Where I live there are lots of immigrants
And probably easier to meet an immigrant because they are finding their feet and looking around.

Regular population is settled down

I guess my point is if I were to meet a girl from say Africa or Thailand would there be any realistic future
