I am married now and haven't had a first date since 2020, but this was my approach to this issue. At the beginning of the date, I did not initiate any physical contact at all. Sometimes, a lady would lean in for a hug, and I would respond to that, but I never initiated a hug or a kiss. During the date, if I was interested, felt attracted, and thought she would be receptive, I would hold her hand. At the end of the date, if I wanted a second date, I would walk her to her car, again holding her hand. I would tell her that I enjoyed our meeting and hoped that I could call her soon to arrange a second date. If I thought she was open to some additional expression of physical expression, I would then move in for a hug - not a shoulders touching hug, but a hug from the waist up. I would then keep my arms around her waist, pull my face back so I would look into her eyes. If she maintained eye contact with me, I then moved my lips towards hers. If she didn't want to kiss me on the lips, she could turn to the side and I would kiss her cheek. But if she wanted a kiss on the lips, I gave her that. There was no tongue probing her tonsils action, but just a kiss on the lips that lingered long enough to not be mistaken for a platonic gesture. I made it very clear, on the first date that my interest was romantic and not just friendly. Then I concluded by asking her to text me when she arrived home safely.
I never had any problems arise from using that approach.
I have been on the receiving end of several girls doing that, but I don’t initiate it.
I think A, B and C are all fine for kissing a new date.
