I've known of more that blow up time after time online. Online is a mess... You have to have the strength of Jobe at times to deal with it. Better and more skilled you are, the better result. It's very different for men than women.

I tried a app one time and it was a total scam where you had to pay to talk with people. And those people who were certified were even bots or payed to do that lol.

eharmony was the best as were real people, but pay and fewer people. best is to know people. next best is to get job overseas (if you want to come to usa)... meet people while working and go from there. we met various people while traveling. our kid made connection and talked to the other kid for a while.
long distance is another level of owrk, but when peopel are serious and ready, it works. that's the issue... fickle, not ready, or worse.
as female, you know to be more careful...

That's my concern also, cuz I wonder If I open a date site profile and someone will use my profile images somewhere. The other one the part that what if there gonna be predator, perverts or psychos? Cuz sometime they may act normal at first.

real concerns. much better to meet people in person or by aquantances. But as you gain experience can better discern who is real and not, but alway have a bailout if meeting someone at distance.

In general, I liked eharmony as matched on personality fit. Match was torture as was plenty of fish.
I think is much better to meet people through common interests being engaged in life or explore other interests outside your normal domain to meet others. Much more successful imho.

Unfortunately, my experience suggests that you will meet almost exclusively people who rely on the anonymity of the internet to lie about who they are and how they live their lives. So the chances of meeting “the one” are slim to none. Anyone who suggests otherwise is almost certainly trying to sell you a subscription to their internet dating service.

Yes a lot of relationships form from online dating , and online platforms like Facebook , Instagram etc. so you don’t necessarily have to meet someone on a dating app to meet someone. I met some of my ex girlfriends’ from chat rooms and social networks

It's not a given though. One still has to work at dating, be it online or otherwise.

Of course they *can* work - but they are just an enabler, or channel, to locate people - a tool, nothing more.

One of the best relationships I ever had was started through chatting on an online Scrabble game - whatever works, is good.

Meet people, do the people skills thing, value the interactions, work for it!

It's hard and you have to look for common signs of fake profiles, scams, solicitors, hookup-only people, toxic people, and be ready for people who ghost, won't communicate and can't take rejection... but you will run into genuine people once in a while.

For pretty girls or even average ones, yes, but it might not be the type of attention you want - even on allegedly "religious" dating sites. For average guys, generally no, unless he is fine with this type of thing (these are probably trolls).
