According to this diagram, until you hit 40+, there are more men than women. This means in the dating game women are clearly in charge and men must compete to prove their worth.
In the work market if there's a big pool to choose from then employers can demand better staff and pay them less. It's the same in dating. More men means we can demand better men and you have to basically beg and crawl to us.
Why don't guys get this?

I love how women expect men to not have any standards. Here is the facts though...
Most women make themselves non-chaseable and they also created men like me that expect you to chase me. I don't even chase my drinks. Maybe my perspective would be different if I couldn't get laid, but you women will cheat on a decent guy to get with me... and black pilled dudes and red pilled dudes see that shit and really start to wonder if the juice is worth the squeeze... and even I think to myself... women aren't worth the work.
I mean if I wasn't getting it easy... and even as someone that has women... You all for the most part are just not worth the effort. Like you have recognized the shortage of pussy for men, so has a lot of women. So what do the women do in response to this? Get fat, act nasty, be nasty... shit on the men that do try and so on. Imagine if I was just like a TikTok girl and said, "I'm ready for my ring! Where are you, come get me, so you can pay my bills" and make it blatantly obvious that once the honeymoon phase is over... I'm going to cheat and start picking you apart for every flaw. Yes, welcome to the world of more women than men. Where it's used as an excuse to not really try to get and keep good men.
It's a little more complicated than counting the people with a pulse in each age group.
For each age group separate each gender into tiers of desirability. The good old 1-10 scale.
Example 21-30 on your chart there are 22m women and 23m men. How many are a 1,5,7, and 9? Age 21-30, women are definitely doing the choosing and guys are running around with a boner constantly.
Now jump to 41-50 and there appears to be parity based on numbers alone with 21m women and men. Now rate each gender again, 1,5,7,9. I think you'll see a dramatic shift in desirability as men and women age. Men become more desirable and women fall off the curve a lot faster. Suddenly there are a lot of low scoring women chasing a dwindling number of higher value men.
I think it hits earlier actually. If a woman hasn't bonded and started a family by about age 32 she's done. If she married and divorced with 2-3 kids in her 30's, she's got a tough road ahead of her. The odds are really tough to beat at that point.
Men must be brave to flirt and love. And they must be gentlemen. They must be polite. A gentlemanly and strong man is attractive. Men should be kind to women
Well there may be more guys than girls (I don’t know I actually thought there were slightly more girls but I have not looked it up so I might be wrong) but that does not mean there are more guys worth dating so, I don’t think I agree with the setup for the question. Also if a guy begs a lot that will usually make him one of the guys NOT worth dating.
I am in a LTR and not really looking for guys to date but, I can say when I was in college there were a lot of guys who were interested in me but most of them had some serious issue that would cause me to not want to be w him, usually it was that I didn’t think they knew what they wanted, or I didn’t think they were honest or sincere about what they wanted. Or sometimes I just thought they had low standards. Of course everybody is different but for me, the number of guys who knew what they wanted, were sincere, and had good standards was v. small and I would have given guys like that a chance if I was single at the time.
If a guy had begged me to date him, I would have been polite but I would have been trying to get out of that situation as quickly as I could w/o making him angry or depressed.
Oh, we get it. But we get other things too. Like we get that we don’t need women, especially insufferable women, as much as we need jobs. So that there is what you might call a false equivalence. Just because you demand better, that doesn’t mean you deserve better. The same is actually true for employers. Well Poppy, in the old fashioned way to consider dating as a vulgar market place, probably true, at least if the aim is only body count and hunting. I'm not sure such kind of dating to be really satisfactory when it comes to really enjoy the company of a new partner.
Personally I'm never going to beg, nor asking anyone else to beg me. Set aside on the practical side I'm out of the "market" anyway due to my age, I'd still prefer that particular magic moment when two potential partners recognize each other intuitively without all the theatrical dating nonsense, although I can understand some may indeed enjoy that kind of game. When I worked for a company, I had offers from other companies to work for them and used it to get a raise. If you are an important employee, a company will do almost anything to keep you. If a man stays in shape and has a good income, women will chase him because he's rare. Women don't respect guys that beg long term.

Because not all men are created equally. Some will beg/simp. Some will walk away entirely. Some will marry. Then there are those men women pursue without the man needing to do a damn thing to get these women’s attention. A lot of women like those sorts of men - which vary greatly. The men that is. There are far more good quality women that aren't in westernized countries so actually as long as the man is decent quality and has a decent income to afford travel expenses, he will have millions of more BETTER options and can avoid the man very LOW quality western women. Sure, if the woman is dominant, and if the guy is submissive, guys obviously have to beg.
I'm not a competitive person, plus - I'm very shy, and those are just some of the reasons why I'm still a virgin, never been in a relationship, never had a kiss.
That may be correct in America where you picture is from but where I live in Nottingham the ratio is 2 girls to a guy... sadly that doesn't increase odds because some women are just too picky.

Not really. Most guys I see are too afraid to approach, so there might be 50 guys and 35 girls, but only 10-15 of the guys, at most, are unafraid to approach, so in practical terms the disparity is an illusion for those unafraid lads.
