Why is my ex boyfriend asking me if I’ve moved on or not?

I met my ex after 3 months he kept asking me who I’m seeing, if I kissed my new partner or not , if I have moved on or not, he asked me to show him pic of my current dating partner.
And few weeks ago when v talked on call after ages that time also he kept asking me who I’m dating. Nd when I asked him if he’s seeing someone so he said yes he is but it’s not that serious yet like commitment types.

If I were you I’d block him, because he’s using you as a backup choice. He’s keeping in touch with you in case him and this other woman don’t work out. He’s asking about other men so he can see can get an idea of if you’re moving on yet or not. The fact you even still respond and chat let’s him know that you’re still interested, there’s still a chance, yet he would rather focus on building a relationship with this other woman. If I were you I wouldn’t want to be a man’s last resort or safety net, I’m either his first choice or not an option at all.

I get where you’re coming from but not all attention is good attention, especially when it’s coming from an ex who most likely doesn’t consider you just a friend. Men don’t usually invest time into fully platonic relationships with women, and there’s usually an underlying reason why they settle into friendship. His intention for talking to you is purely to keep you on the back burner, and despite you thinking it’s just innocent for a bit of attention, he’s looking at it entirely different. I’m sure his attention comes with a bit of flirting or words that make you feel good in a way that you want to keep this dynamic going.

See, friends aren’t going to be so pushy. A friend may ask once or twice but when he’s asking the entire time, it means he doesn’t believe you and he’s trying to get you to admit the “truth”. He thinks telling you that you’re simply friends will make you more comfortable telling him if you’re really dating other guys or not. This is all so he can keep tabs on if he still has a chance to at least hook up with you. You seem to be his fallback plan for if things don’t work with the other girl and that’s really messed up. Don’t let him do that to you.

Yes it seems like the exs always want to know all about the new person that want to see if they look better than them. To figure out if it's going to last or not. And if you show them they act happy for you but then always get up set
