Went on dinner date yesterday with a girl. While we were eating starter I accidentally spilt a really slight (and I mean minute) amount of soup on my shirt. I didn't even realise until she pointed it out to me and then she laughed and I felt quite embarrassed. Anyway we moved on and spoke about other things but I got the impression that she couldn't get over the fact that I did that.

If a guy did this on a date would that completely turn you off him? If so why?

You're overthinking this my friend. You're letting your anxiety dictate your thoughts. Take a breath, and keep doing that, deep breaths.

Ok now, think about it this way. If she spilled soup on her dress would you laugh at her or hold it against her? No of course not, if your friend were to do that, would you laugh or hold it against him? Similarly, of course not. So why are you any different?

If that was true of everyone i would still be single.
I just learned to order dry foods, no sauces, nothing that squirted, just would bounce off of me without leaving a trace.
