How long should I wait before dating again?

I just had my relationship of 6 years just end. I know im not ready to start dating again I plan on focusing on myself for a little while. When would be a appropriate time to start dating again?

U ll know u r ready when your peace no longer depends on someone else’s presence when u can look back at the past without resentment, n forward without rushing to fill the silence..

Healing isn’t about waiting a certain number of months it’s about rebuilding your center so love feels like a choice again, not a remedy for loneliness..

There is no time limit. It could be 5 minutes or it could be 5 months. We are all different in that regard.

Only you can answer that. But you will know. What caused the breakup? I'm sure you miss the fun, the connection and of course all the great sex. Take time to get your life together socially , emotionally and physically again. Also take time if you have not to have some solo fun to make up for the lack of sex. Your thoughts?

At least a year or two you need alone peaceful time to accept the things and process it and to realise what matters and what you need and what are your future plans

Well it really depends on how long it takes for you to get to the place you want to be in your personal development I guess.

If we were to not consider that, I'd say 6 months is probably a good starting point.
