Why do men say they like clingy women, but when a woman is clingy she’s too much?

It’s so confusing! Because whenever a man says he likes clingy, I find it so funny, then test him by being clingy.

I don’t think men I general like clingy women I know I didn’t like that shit when I was out there looking for women I need my space not someone to be all over me wanting shit all the time although I love my wife and I’ll do and give her whatever she wants from me whenever she wants it. If possible. Shit it gets annoying when my dog or my car are like that.. However if a guy is like that he’s probably not sure of himself very insecure and probably has low self-esteem or is very new to the dating scene. A guy like that will be tooken advantage of real quick. Remember nice guys finish last if they finish at all.

I don’t know of one man that likes clingy women. As a matter of fact that would be the reason why he would dump her. When it comes to relationship men don’t like to be alone but we like to be alone. Probably doesn’t make sense to you. But no, being clingy is a red flag. The only time men like a girl who’s clingy is when she’s clinging onto his thunder down under.

Many men want a woman who likes to be physically close and likes physical affection, and they assume that this is what you are talking about when you say "clingy", but no man wants a girl who won't leave him alone or expects him to check in every 2 minutes or whatever. That's unbearable.

It's all about balance. I'd rather my partner is clingy than not interested in spending time with me at all. It's nice to know that your presence is desired.

But everyone needs their own space and time to recharge. Everyone needs to be able to spend time pursuing their interests or hobbies and just be in their own head space with no distractions.

Clingy can feel good in moderation. When it's excessive as in, you can't watch what you wanna watch, talk to people, or do anything without her inserting herself in the middle of it or demanding it be to her taste... that's when she's basically not letting me be me anymore.

And we all know she'll lose respect and cheat if we rollover and just conform and accept it... so it's basically turning something that's okay in moderation and turning it into a huge shit test.

Most men say they like clingy women but what they really mean is they like a woman who shows love who checks in who makes them feel wanted. Most men want affection not control. We want love not pressure. But when it crosses into feeling like we can’t breathe or like every moment has to be accounted for that’s when it becomes too much.

Who says they Like clingy? It's similar to saying no I like annoying. If it wasn't annoying then I you wouldn't call it that. You would say I like a woman that is into me all the time. You wouldn't say I like clingy it has a connotation that is inherently negative.
