Why are most women clingy?

I know this may upset some women, but why are most women so clingy? Especially when your just talking to them. They start calling you a few times a day, getting easily jealous, constantly seeking some kind of assurance, getting upset over stupid things that if they were a girlfriend or a wife I'd understand but not as someone that it's just the "talking stage" and her happiness depends on the relationship. People don't understand that the more clingy you are the less that person wants to talk to you. Just let things be and let life take it's course and whatever happens, happens.

There are other things to consider with this kind of take. Like don’t get me wrong, I fully understand and have witnessed women being overly clingy to men while in the talking phase, even being codependent of them as their source of feeling good. But much of her behavior is valid vs actually being clingy? I mean she’s going to start showing some deeper care if you are talking constantly, going on dates, hooking up, etc., but how much is too much?

I have to wonder about other elements as well, like what is the expectation between her and that guy, how long has the talking phase been, what are the intentions set, etc. Because while some of your talking points are fair, others make me wonder how well he’s communicating with her vs making her feel insecure or uncertain, maybe even ghosting and she’s basically spiraling as he loses interest.

So for as much as you feel how you do, it’s important to step back and ask yourself why she’s doing what she’s doing. Like is she really a jealous, overbearing woman or is she crying out for reassurance, validation and overall, a title?

I don't think I am clingy. Not openly. Not until i am an actual girlfriend. And then yh you are right. And I can only speak for myself but those behaviours come from the fact that once I am invested in someone - emotionally, physically - I expect the same back. I'm not playing games and I don't want to waste my time and emotions. So again - I wouldn't say it's normal in just the talking stage. But later totally is. And best way to deal is to be honest. Let her go if u not invested. Tell and show her you are if you are. If there is differences in communication (she likes frequent texts, you dont) just explain. "I will text you at lunch and after work. Not between. Don't worry. I still really like you".

Honesty! People need to communicate clearly! And if not compatible, communicate that too.

If a man that was starving, and dehydrated sits down at a table for dinner his demeanor and etiquette are going to be much more base, frantic, and crude than that same man will eat dinner if he's been getting enough to eat and drink every day. He's going to gobble, and gulp because he's ravenously starving, is malnourished and dehydrated. Women are clingy because they have not been receiving the love, emotional support, physical intimacy, respect, acceptance, appreciation, and attention that they not just desire but truly need. They are starved for it. If you fill those needs reliably for her and she does the same for you after awhile you will both become more comfortable and relaxed, trusting and knowing that you are both getting what you need from eachother

I don't know, for me a healthy amount of clingy is a beautiful thing in a woman. I love how women give themselves to you in that way and show that they care.

I'm not talking about stalker level watching you with binoculars and tracking your phone.

But there's something I find attractive about a woman who can show their feelings so transparently and easily. I think it's a very feminine trait because men are unable to do that.

I’m certainly not upset lol. I don’t think most women are terribly clingy…it maybe I just don’t choose to be around clingy people. I had a couple of clingy boyfriends and it made me crazy…ended things pretty quickly. I happen to be a person who needs quite a bit of alone time, but when I’m with someone, in person, texting, phone, I try to make sure I am fully present.

MOST women aren’t… many DO tend to enjoy hugs and cuddling bc it makes us feel safe and protected, esp when we’re feeling vulnerable (eg when we’re not in our full outerwear, when we’re sharing sensitive info, etc.)… which shouldn’t be a big mental leap to understand.

It depends solely on what both of you are looking for. If you are just looking for a fun time but she's looking to find someone to be in a relationship with then she's probably gonna be viewed as clingy and you'll be viewed as just wanting no strings attached fun. That's why it's good early on to state what both parties are looking for and be upfront and honest about that from the very start.

A woman is clingy because she's afraid of you leaving. But the exact same woman - I'm not saying all just saying -- could be getting banged by 5 other dudes while pretending to be in love with you. Or could run hot & cold. Cold when she needs to spend time with other dudes.. hot when they are unavilable.

I dunno. I found it strange at first with my girlfriend, but now I think it’s cute. They just love us and want to be with us as much as possible, and don’t want our eyes wandering or giving attention to other women.

Insecurity. A lot of women today are getting the vibe that they have no clue what men actually want. If you feel totally replaceable, it's tough to feel secure in your place in someone's life.
