What are your biggest turn offs in the opposite sex in the context of dating?

Personally for me, it’s inconsistency and dishonesty; as well as bad/lack of communication.

Many things. Lies. Expecting sex for paying for a meal. Abusing waiting staff or baristas. Breaking their word. For instance if a guy says he's going to take you out or spend time with you but decides to instead go out with his boys, well thats not cool. Fine if he has work or an emergency.

Poor manners and lack of consideration. There was a fellow I was cray-zeee about for a good long while and this one day that I really needed to count on him to be a gentleman and just keep an eye on me (particularly to make sure I had a glass of water with me throughout the evening) he not only dropped the ball but was openly hostile about getting me a glass of water when I asked him.

(In context, I was hosting an event and was exhausted beyond measure. The two team members who know this about me weren't there and so I asked my guy to please have my back with this... and he agreed but the day of... was suddenly hostile and too busy to be bothered.)

We wrack that up to "showing his ass." When a guy shows how disrespectful he can be that's a deal-breaker for me. Close the door and move on.

Having conflicting views and sense of humour.

Being shallow in a bad way. (Appreciating someone's physical attractiveness does not make you shallow.)

Controlling men. For some reason, the ones I've come across are always the religious sort. They've tried to put me in tiny box they carry around and take out when they want to and that doesn't work for me. If I even get a whiff of someone trying to control me like ordering my dinner for me, or telling me when and where I can go, or telling me how I should think/feel, I am so gone. I enjoy a partnership where there is reciprocity and equality. I think there is so much respect in that which I cherish dearly.

But I have known women who enjoy sleeping with men, dating them perhaps, but deep down hate men including their own boyfriend

I had an ex at one time that would constantly laugh in my face if I shared the challenges I was dealing with in life
Because to her: all men are blessed by the patriarchy and everything comes easy to us.

Little does she know that the patriarchy does not exist. Hasn’t for decades at this point.

And the people with power will always oppress those without power regardless of gender

That simple concept would have have her fuming with anger because she could not handle having her idiotic ideals challenged, and so she would hate me more
And for some reason, want to fuck even more

Greed. We have to be able to have fun without money involved. Like yes I get it it takes money to exist and do everything. But like at dinner the meal is just there, talking to each other is the purpose. my best dates our food got cold before we finished. Or another one, I've been to a movie before we left before it started because we couldn't stop talking to each other. I want to matter more then money. I don't know how to explain that.

I’d say my biggest turn-offs are dishonesty, lack of emotional awareness, and someone who can’t take responsibility for their actions. Inconsistency and poor communication definitely make it hard to build any trust or connection. A relationship feels way more sustainable when both people are straightforward and reliable.

If she has liberal morals, or if she has tattoos, nose ring, unnaturally colored hair, kids from her past, any contact with any ex, any past of drug use or heavy alcohol use, if she was ever divorced and took half (mostly the MAN's earned stuff), doesn't want a prenuptial agreement, etc. Any/all of those makes her undesirable.

And yet, I (ironically) agree with on both, still because of my condition. (as in, those 2 are at least among my "requirements" too.)

I mean, worst case scenario, I'd worry that my condition would NOT be an excuse for whenever there'd be communication issues between me and whoever I'd date.

I don't think we can pinpoint those attributes to the opposite sex since both genders do those things all the time.. But specifically for women them complaining about men responding with "hey" when many of them do the same thing.. Expecting a guy to "make her laugh" like we're supposed to entertain her like a clown.. Expecting meals on the first date.. Feeling like the prize for being a woman.. Especially if she's attractive..
