What is the longest you dated someone and still got ghosted?

I can't remember how long, sorry, but I had my suspiscion as to why he did it. I thought it was the proof I needed that he wasn't the one. I had bad experiences from an ex who after a disagreement I thought was resolved would tell me no, make it more complicsted than it needed to be in my opinion, so he would need more time to digest I suppose, and as if he thought I needed more time, but too it felt as if he was punishing me this way. After 3 days he would act as if nothing had happened. Next time it was 5 days. You get the picture. Got to a point when he had raised me to not dare to say, do something that could cause this reaction, punishment. I was always used to that some people digest more slow than I do, more drama, and I would always be the one who had to wait til it passed. By the time the one I dated did this to me I knew in that moment he was like a boy, childish and I refused to think I deserved it. I thought it had to do with his immaturity to deal with things, and if he could not even deal with this that to me was not so bad and something you could work out, how was he going to act when it really got tough? After some time he was suddenly back from the dead, writing, calling, having regrets. I couldn't have bothered. I'm happy it happened when it now did because it was important to me to see what he was like in those type of situations. He could have skipped the whole wine and dine courting he did before because it was how he acted when there was a problem that showed his real colors. I would not waste my time on ghosters, the only problem they have is the one with themselves. Don't make them your problem.

Never been fully ghosted, but I’ve had someone slowly fade out after a few months.

It wasn’t dramatic just a steady drop in effort until the connection felt empty.

It taught me that when someone wants to stay, you never have to guess.
