From my own observations, women tend to put in minimal effort to get to know you. Especially on dating apps, they'll say "If you say hi, then I won't respond." Then you give them longer, well thought out messages hoping they can respond accordingly, and they'll give you a word response or something without much thought.

It's the same in person. They just expect the man to put in all or at least the majority of the effort into "wooing" them.

Well that depends on your relationship dynamic. But… a relationship should be equal effort. Even if both people want the man to lead… That doesn’t equate to him making all the effort and same for the woman. That also doesn’t equate to being abusively controlling. Same for the other way around.

Honestly on the first date with my partner i took the initiative and made the first move. And that’s how you just go for it. My partner’s also a woman and she’s a lot more masculine than me but just didn’t have the guts to start it.
