In my culture, we are taught to respect our elders. So, I won't roast her (I'm good at comebacks and roast). So, I'll just leave because it's pointless to talk to someone who tells you to shut your down I don't want to waste my energy.

But yeah, I'd be confused at first before I chuckle because how could I speak if she told me to shut my mouth. It's clear she isn't in the state of mind to listen.

This person's age has nothing to do with her rude "order." No. 1, what she's saying is illogical. No one can "shut their mouth" when talking. Makes no sense. You might approach what she says in a quiet tone.

"I understand you're angry about what I've said, but you can't force me to shut up simply because you don't like what I've said. However, I'll move on because there's no more that can be said between us." ... Something in that manner.

Anger blots out logic in most cases. Sounds like she wanted to lord it over the younger speaker. My goal would be to not allow that. Same would be true if a young person said same to an older person. You don't deserve respect when you don't act respectfully!
