If you aren't used to eating at Michelin-starred restaurants then you will both look like fools because the food and the service is quite different than at ordinary restaurants and you have to be used to the culture. If you can even get in, you will pay $300 or more and not get a lot of food, what food you do get you will probably not recognize, and everything moves very fast.

I have visited a number of one and two starred restaurants. The quality is always good, just sometimes not my taste. I'm not into fusion food, certain sauces etc.
