It sucks because you find yourself dealing with the fuck ups of someone else when you didn’t do anything yourself

No. But it does affect how they perceived YOU. This is why after so many men a significant number of women become undateable. Because a lot women do not treat each man like a clean slate. And she WILL blame you for every bad choice SHE has made thus far when it comes to men.
