Upcoming bar scene?

I'm turning 21 shortly and I'm pretty excited to go to a bar and well drink legally of course. I was just curious as to what to look out for and what would be the reasons for you guys going to bars? do you have a set plan or are you strict, do you hook up etc. Just anything really I suppose. Of course some things are very common sense so I hope I don't have to go into detail on those sort of things.

I'm also curious as I've gone to parties and stuff and I know for me I go to have fun but I also know if I'm interested or talking to someone I won't do nothing that would seemingly break trust. If that makes sense. I'm not saying I would go and flirt with everyone or whatever even if I wasn't seeing someone but just in general I suppose. So, if opportunities present, would you guys (anyone ofc) take them regardless of a situation with another person?

I'm sorry this is poorly worded, college has been busy and hectic and I don't feel like proof reading etc. So hopefully everything makes sense :)

That’s just sad. Here we make our first (legal) experiences with alcohol aged 16. So by age 21 we are already through with it and can concentrate on more important things. I often go to bars to meet with friends, but 90% of the time I order something nonalcoholic. And since I know the struggles of two or three alcoholics, I’d suggest you do the same.

Given the horrid weather there will be no bar scenes for the next few days, lol.

What may or may not pass for "common sense" today makes me flinch.

Turning 21 used to mean:
-- Graduation.
-- Better choices.
-- Harder choices.
-- A drink with friends to celebrate a new chapter of life.

I don't know what you're going on about but I suggest you aren't considering doing something you'll regret down the line.

You are putting way too much importance on this debut. It will likely be very ordinary. Have you never had alcohol before? It's not magical. Your first sip of beer or wine won't be an epiphany. You may like it, or not. My advice is don't get drunk. That's not fun, and can have serious consequences.

Well I literally said yes I've had alcohol before and I only asked because I'm from a small town. I've been drunk and what not. Just was wondering if it's worth going to a bar or going to the woods with friends to get drunk.

I never liked being drunk, so... Just don't get into a car with an intoxicated driver.

I was always mature enough not to drink. Alcohol is a crutch , mostly for people that can't deal with reality.

It's fun for a while, but it gets old really fast.
