More critical. Social media tricks young people into thinking they’re entitled to ‘better options;’ so they enter into relationships and when challenges come up and they realise the person isn’t perfect, they start to see dating options as expendable rather than appreciating having a good match right in front of them and nurturing that relationship.

It has for all of us 😂 But I think there's too much competition. Back in the day it was simple. You'd find someone around your area and be competing with one guy maybe a city away. Nowadays, due to social media, people don't settle because they always think it's easy to find someone better because they have access to everyone at their fingertips.

I'll buck the trend that most people are saying. Modern dating, in my humble opinion, makes individuals think more about what they want in life, what they want (and don't want) in a relationship. Some may call that being more critical. I call that being a better connoisseur, like how a wine connoisseur picks a fine wine.
