So 30 years ago, only 2% of couples met their partner online but with social media such as IG, hook up apps like tinder and bumble, this number has risen to 40%. In online dating, men tend to cast a wide net and message a bunch of girls asking them out; since most women are incredibly flaky and volatile and change their mind very quickly. The men who don't put all their eggs into one girl and you can see the result below.

Now, a lot of guy won't bother approaching 10/10 female in real life and some might not even bother trying to get with them online, since they either believe she is taken or she'll reject them outright. So a lot of dudes approach 7/10 and under, thinking they have a better chance. Even Chads and/or rich guys will dip down and simp for mediocre/average women if it means easy access to sex. So with that said, we see that the average woman has tons of options and think she is the prize and has little respect for most men. This causes women via their hypergamous nature to only want the best man.

The result of this is we'll see women having situationship and/or ONS with rich and/or good looking men and constantly getting pumped and dumped in their 20s and possibly into their 30s. This is why when we look at the under 30 crowd, the ratio of single men to women is at a 2:1 ratio. Also, many women project their experience with these top guys onto all men, which causes the average guy to go "Wtf" when we hear women make big claims like "men only want sex", "men don't want to commit", "men are flaky and play games" etc. We see these type of questions all the time on Gag or in female comments or in eluding to that when women are unsure if a guy likes them. We also see it in the many videos on social media where women bitch about how "ALL MEN ARE ASSHOLES or guys don't take dating seriously".

And usually, women only start giving other men a chance when they hit 30+ or become single moms and by then, they are emotionally/mentally damaged.

This is why you have online groups called "are we dating the same guy?"

This is why male sexlessness is on the rise and 64% of men under 30 can't get a date.

This is why the number of single men drops considerably as we switch from under 30 to 0ver 30.

I don't have any trouble getting female attention/interest, I get tons of it, and I'm not rich or 6 feet tall or a "chad" archetype, I make zero effort other than just normal friend conversation stuff, and yet I get swarmed online by physically attractive women... who are boring af...

I wouldn´t agree but more because I´m not from the US. To me the problem of modern dating is that people avoid offline conversations and meet online instead. I think you portray is way too one sided and not the real situation. Because sure women have problems and many of them have very high expectations but I could come up with an equally long list of problems guys have that keep them from getting a date or a relationship.

To me your descriptions sounds like a guy that got hurt by some women and then ran down the rabbit hole. One thought to problem of male sexlessness is on the rise. Yes that´s true but male porn addiction are also on the rise and if you take in account that age to start with porn is currently 11 I think that´s the real problem since many guys are not really for sex since porn does the better job.

porn consumption is a symptom. Men still make more money than average, more men go to the gym now than they do in past, male health care has improved and men are even breaking their legs to get the height that women want. Men today do more than men in the past.

Men can't get sex-or very little-->Men redirect there sexual desires to porn/twitch/Cam sites/OF---->Eventually becoming addicts.
