I know it’s more complex than this but just wondering, will a guy be more likely to commit to someone who he’s deeply emotionally attached with but average sex life or if the sexual chemistry is off the charts but the emotional connection is average?

I only stay in a relationships with a girl that is on the same page or very close to the same page as me , otherwise her and I aren’t going to see eye to eye that much and. It could more than likely cause conflict in our relationship, I consider myself an open book when I meet a girl that I am very interested in , so I don’t blind side her in any way , why communication is key to having a healthy relationship with someone. Don’t listen to that nonsense about opposites attract , because the truth is yes you both might be attracted to each other , but that relationship will more than likely not last once you both realize you both really don’t have much in common , why I no longer get into a relationship with a girl , that doesn’t see eye to eye with me, because it’s temporary

I like to bring out another perspective:

In conservative counties like those in Asia, many marriages were arranged.

And many arrange marriages began with neither emotional connection nor sex, but they were committed, by tradition, by the marriage ceremony.

And through time, they MAKE their marriage work, adding emotional connections and sexual chemistry to their life.

And statistics had shown, many couples lived till death part them.

I'm not saying this is superior. I just bring up another point of view.

And with this view, I like to suggest, a strong factor for commitment could be based on culture and tradition, and above all, upbringing and maturity.

This is interesting, I’m also Asian but we don’t really have arrange marriages unless it’s for business or if your parents are worried that you’re still single lol

I noticed your question assumed commitment is based on emotional connection or sexual chemistry.

I merely bring out another viewpoint. That many marriages started out without these, but ended up fulfilling the vow.

PS: I'm sure divorce and infidelity exists in arranged marriages too. But it seems like the two I knew stayed till death parted them.

For me, moral compatibility, compatible long term life goals, and some interests in common matters more than how good sex is with her. She needs to be at least a 5 or better in looks to me too.
