a lot of women, don't like the idea of being perceived as older, and woman does sound older for sure... maybe you're at that age now, in which some random kid will call you "ma'am" or "auntie" or whatever term for "older lady" you have over there and then it kind of stings you a little or a lot, because "you're just 25... not 40"

and in contrast... most men see the idea of being perceived as "a man" or more mature as something positive and attractive, even if a younger man, you want to be "the man" not that "stupid little boy"

but again... perceptions and generalizations, lol
