3 moYes, it is OK. After all, many oldsters like myself have either "been there and done that" or it never happened and so we are banking on earlier retirement and so we no longer want any. Or we lacked the confidence to do it until we were established enough, and by the time we were established enough, we were "over the hill".
However, *that is just the problem* today. How many younger men of your age are established enough to start a family? And that isn't just financially, it is probably also mentally and emotionally and spiritually.
Or even how many men who meet those crieteria who are now thirty somethings? The answers are almost none and not enough, respectively.

So, if you really want a family, you may find yourself opting for a man at least 10 years older than you, and you may have to accept as high as 20, simply because those may be the only ones you can find who are willing to team up with you in order to do it, while your fertility "window" is still open.

u 3 moIf he’s too old to raise kids with me, then he’s too old for me full stop. I view too old to raise kids as 45 years and up, and I’m not dating someone the same age as my own parents.

A woman can reject a guy for any reason she feels like, but there can be big differences in the physical fitness level of people who are exactly the same age, let alone differences in wealth or income. If you meet one 50 year old guy who's in great shape and has good finances, who cares about the other 50 year old guys? The one you want to have kids with is the one that matters.

3 moFuck no! I have a vasectomy, and I'm surprised how many girls are upset when they find out. I don't want to have kids, it's like lady. I'm almost 45 years old! No nothing wrong with planning for your future.

@MikeTheBartender This is what I'm going to do when my kid is grown and I split up with my wife... except I'm not going to tell any of them I got a vasectomy. Creampie heaven. What % do you think will get pregnant by someone else and try to say it's mine with attempted paternity fraud?
- 3 mo
@Master_Debator I get about one a year that either is or "might be" prego w my kid 😂

Vasectomy is so frigging hot, I can't even.

3 moIf you really want to have kids, I guess you should reject a guy like me (50 years old here). However, if you are NOT sure if you want to have kids, at least keep your options open, because guys like me are sort of hard to come by these days (loyal, kind, intelligent, fun-loving).

Furthermore, and I hope this isn't too plainly obvious, but just because You choose to reject an interested suitor as a lover doesn't mean that You don't have an alternate role for him to perform, such as an emotional and financial supporter, etc.

3 mosure. if a family is something someone wants then they should find a partner who is willing/able to raise children with them
unless they plan to raise children on their own

3 moIf he's so old that you don't think he'll be alive to see the kids through to adulthood, then I'd say yes. Older guys should look for older women who have already raised their children.

m 3 moIt totally makes sense to me, at 40 I'd also consider myself too old. I think, and it's utterly subjective, that following biological clock of women is quite reasonable
10 Reply 13.3K opinions shared on Dating topic. That's a perfectly good reason to reject a man. You don't need a reason to reject someone. If you aren't interested for to whatever reason. then don't date them.
10 Reply4.9K opinions shared on Dating topic. What do you think is too old? I don't think anyone is too old to raise a kid. However, if you are looking to start a family; someone over 60 probably is not the best choice. Ultimately though, who you want to be with for the rest of your life is a choice that only you can make and the criteria is yours to decide upon.

Over 50. Though even 40 is too much, unless you've adopted the child.
3 moAnybody can reject anyone for whatever reason they want, People who say otherwise just feel entitled to affection In my opinion
10 ReplySeems reasonable enough. You are of the age at which you should be having kids. A lot of women prefer a man thats at least 3 years older so he can better support a wife and children financially
