Am I asking too much for my girlfriend?

Me and my girlfriend got into an argument about something small. She's a serious type of person and doesn't like when people tell her what to do.

I simply requested her to put her WhatsApp status to Show when she's online and she made a big deal out of this saying always done this. I Said it's Just something for respect and she didn't like that

The day before she called her ex and that's why I said what I said above. We had a discussion about this and she deleted her ex's number. She said they were only friends

I personally set any app I'm using to status:offline, because I don't like how status:online gives this false impression that we're always available, while I often just open an app for a few minutes and close it.

How do you mean respect here? I mean what makes this app status disrespectful for you?
