You can show interest through small things, like being attentive, remembering little details, or making time for them.

But at the same time, you still keep your own life, your own priorities, and your own confidence.

That's easy. Be honest, but with a spine. Put yourself out there. If she rejects you, drop her flat. Don't be mad, don't be affected either. Just say "that's too bad". Smile and walk away. And then move on like nothing happened. Because the matter is closed. There are roughly 4 billion women on the planet. Worry about one that actually shares interest.
