Can you really find a serious relationship on the internet?

I know people who did but it was a painful process that involved years and years of failure before meeting their husband or wife. The best way to meet people is through church or part time jobs where you know you will not work there permanently.

It’s possible. But chances are very slim. It was hard enough trying to meet people in person, but online, I think it’s even worse. So many fake people out there. You got all these filters, fillers, etc. People posting pics of theirselves 5 years ago that don’t even look the same. You’d probably have. Better chance in person. I don’t see from the looks of it you’d have an issue finding someone to take an interest in you.

I think the answer to your question truly relies all on the two specific individuals, if both are serious about it then that's the foundation it needs, just one lacking seriousness would drag it all down for both

sometimes i consider distance but Missouri is a nice place to live in but sometimes i will definitely relocate

Yes, it’s possible to find a serious relationship online, but it depends on how intentional both people are.

Like any relationship, it requires honesty, communication, and mutual effort.

The medium doesn’t define the outcome, clarity, values, and compatibility do.

Online platforms just give people the chance to meet outside their usual circles.

No.. You can find some one. and that can become serious. But if you are serious about someone youve never met you about to be let down in a big way. Much of our understanding of people comes not from their words but their actions and body language so until you know someone in person you can never be that serious.

Yes! But the odds typically are against it. Because two people have to be attracted to eachother and most crash and burn right there. But even if they survive that then people have to be honest with eachother. Most people on the internet are too busy selling a persona. And then finally even if they survive that then they have to be similar people, have similar interests, have similar life goals, etc. Odds are they're going to fail one if not all of these tests.

I live in Missouri, Divorced with no kids. I find it hard finding someone close by that is willing to stay

It can be a good place to meet people and learn about them without dating, but there is always the risk that the other person is a hiding something. If you develop feelings for someone online, try moving it to an in-person relationship by meeting them several times before making a life-changing move. Spend as much time as possible together.

That's how I met my boyfriend and we've been together for 3 years at this point. Well, it was a dating site specifically but that's still online so it counts. It's absolutely possible, it's just harder if it's long distance.
