The Reality of Rejection?

Sometimes rejection hurts in different ways depending on what we value most..

What kind of rejection from the opposite gender hurts the most for you?

# Unrequited romantic feelings?
# Feeling that who you are isn’t respected or valued?
# Sexual rejection?

Or was there another kind of rejection that stayed with you for a long time?

I'm called heartbreaker while I don't do much to deserve this title. I think most people play too much with their imagination, this causes at some point some obsessive behavior, sometimes confrontation with reality causes an aggressive reaction toward the person who causes this obsession.
If you turn the perspective of my opinion another way around. It's obvious that rejection in shape of unrequited romantic feelings hurts the most. I don't think a guy who ask me in nightclub "wanna fuck?" and I reply 'fuck off' is really hurt, since such guys ask every girl who doesn't look like sister of Quasimodo.

Rejection is character building if you know how to handle it.

All those things sort of go together and I don't know why you are separating them here in your question or treating them as if they were separate. They generally are not. They all feel terrible.

I think the feeling of not being respected or valued would hurt me the most.

Showing the same romantic feelings or sexuality might not have anything to do with me personally.
