I have been single for 3 years and celibate. I decided to go on a dating site to see whats out there. I haven’t seen this guy in over 20 years. 2 weeks ago I seen him on a dating site and we exchanged numbers. I know we both aren’t the same people we were all those years ago. We have been talking and getting to know one another and we were planning to meet. I was happy, excited filled with butterflies. All of a sudden he went quiet. I’m definitely not going to interrupt any of this. Is it because I didn’t invite him to my place right away? Why would god try and put him back into my like knowing he would leave? Need advice.

Thats the trick of reconnecting with someone you have history with.. It's messy. If I had a choice between a known messy and an unknown with the potential for more mess or less mess I would roll the dice on the unknown. Why god would put you in this situation is to learn a lesson. maybe the road you were on was not the right path. Maybe instead of an app you should do what everyone in your situation should which is get out of the house and get a hobby and do that for the fun of it.. then once you actually are having fun doing something you love life will happen and you will meet someone who like what you do or likes that you like what you do and the bam the potential for greatness will arrise..

You know when I hear stories like this I tend to look at it a different way. Do not over think it. He did you a favor and revealed his true self quickly. Ghosting you like this is a sign of weakness and lack of respect. Better you found out sooner rather than later.
