Politics can lead to heated arguments where nobody wins. Everybody may walk away mad. My question is would you date somebody that had many different opinions on the political spectrum than your own?
2 moThe sexual attraction might be there and we're just there to bump uglies. But I'm assuming your idea of dating is different than mine, and involves actual relationship making material. So I will go into what I consider when I'll deal with a woman beyond using her as my cum dumpster and wiping off on her husband's window curtains.
Logical reasoning is very valuable to me. There is a certain baseline that I require to respect any man or woman. With that said, I find decently logical people can be led astray simply because they have bad information. Most of the time, once I provide enough evidence that maybe their borrowed conclusions are incorrect, and get them to think for themselves with things they haven't considered being brought to their attention... they end up thinking a whole lot like me.
Don't get me wrong... I've met crazy chicks that just want to rant about Trump... and what do you think happens? I distance myself from that chick. I don't mind critical thought about it, but there is a difference between that and zealot behavior and they can't name reasons they feel a certain way with any detail... because it's borrowed ideas and I can tell. So I distance first... I don't confront them... I just remove them by ignoring them. But if that doesn't work...
I do become confrontational... and I will troll the shit out of them. Nobody is winning a physical fight with me, and if she can't even do basic reasoning I will habitually make her look like a stupid idiot until they either avoid me or they eventually calm their tits and start to come around.
I've had this battle with religious women the most, so don't go thinking I'm only this way with the TDS and/or radical feminist chicks. Vegans and flat earthers can get it too.

2 moPolitics is a complex web of game theory where politicians are the players who navigate a series of competing incentives. They do this under the pubic guise of personified empathy and care. Anybody who subscribes to the idea that it’s anything more than that does not foster rationale judgement as far as I’m concerned. Nothing is more exhausting than a person who frames their identity under a political party. There’s use case for both parties, and it’s entirely circumstantial.
I’ve dated lefty’s, conservative Christian girls, and everything in between when I was younger. I never focused on those things though. I just appreciated the relationship for what it was at the time. I couldn’t date somebody who is overly invested into politics though.00 Reply
It depends on the person and how they handle differences.
Having different political views can be challenging, but it doesn’t automatically prevent a healthy relationship if there’s mutual respect, open communication, and shared core values.
The key is whether disagreements can be discussed without escalating into conflict or disrespect.00 Reply

2 moIt would depend on the views but probably not. Can some? Yes. I doubt it would work for me. I’m too outspoken and passionate about my beliefs.
10 Reply16.6K opinions shared on Dating topic. Sure, if she wasn't fixated on politics and we had other things in common. I have friends and family who are leftists, so it's not as if I don't associate with them.

m 2 moNot. A. Single. Chance.
And It's not about political views or heated arguments per se, it's because political views reflect values and worldviews, it reveals how people look at the world and their peers. I'm attracted to someone looking at the world with a vision I can relate to, because it's how our connection makes sense.
10 Reply Yes I can do that, because Men tend to be Right-Wing, and Women tend to be Left-Wing. The Right-Wing tend to be strong, the Left-Wing tend to be a pussy, so that's why.

Actually they prefer weaker men

13.2K opinions shared on Dating topic. Unlikely. In the US we used to agree on the facts, and argue about policy. Today we don't agree on the facts. One side considers known science to be the result of a vast conspiracy, while being completely ignorant of science. I could not date someone with those views.

2 moIt depends on how different, and how committed the other person is to her political beliefs.
A certain amount of difference is healthy. If you're only willing to date someone who agrees with you about everything, then really you're just a narcissist who wishes you could date yourself.
10 ReplySure as long as it wasn't a problem for her. Great relationships don't agree on everything. They know how to disagree respectfully and move past their difference and focus on what makes them stronger and not what tries to tear them apart..

2 moDepends if they believe those political views because it aligns with their values. Some people choose a side without doing any research and in that case maybe I'll be open to dating someone with a different political view than me.
10 Reply 2.3K opinions shared on Dating topic. No chance. Modern politics has a lot more to do with moral values and being incompatible morally is and should be a deal breaker for most people.
10 Reply18.1K opinions shared on Dating topic. No, but I would prefer to avoid discussing politics entirely.

2 moNo because I don't date 'casually'. I had a female coworker I got along with well and we didn't see eye to eye politically, but that was only fine because we shared other interests and we weren't dating. Also, unlike a lot of political girls these days, she didn't attack me for disagreeing with her.
00 Reply 8.4K opinions shared on Dating topic. 20 years ago it would not even be an issue. Today it would be very hard to be involved with a moonbat liberal. It really is a mental disease.
20 ReplyThere was a time when I never would have thought to inquire about one's political views. These past years, I have learned that I would definitely never date someone so different. I am very thankful my husband and I are like minded.

2 moOnly if I thought they were very different in a positive way. The most VERY different view from mine now is what's happening in the USA. I could never, ever date someone who supported that.
10 Reply 458 opinions shared on Dating topic. Probably not since Politics is such a heated discussion but as a friend I could since you don't have to share a home etc
10 Reply2.2K opinions shared on Dating topic. No I would not. From my view leftist views show emotive reasoning.

2 moYes. What am I going to learn from someone with the same views that I hold?
You should marry the person least like yourself that you can bear to live with. Life will be more interesting. And you will grow to be a better person for it.
00 Reply 3.9K opinions shared on Dating topic. Yeap. I'm centrist libertarian, dating a democratic socialist, a right wing authoritarian and one that's national unity
00 Reply6.4K opinions shared on Dating topic. No, that means you have different morals and values. That doesn't make for a healthy relationship.
