Would you date someone of vastly different political views than you?

I’m not really picky about who I date in regards to what their views are politically. Differing opinions and views is fine as long as it doesn’t end up negativity effecting your relationship. I do put a hard line on views of unjustified hatred and bigotry towards minorities though. That crap is wrong and it would sour things in the long run for me. We are all human beings and should support each other regardless of our cultural or sexual backgrounds.

Vastly different? Probably not, I wouldn't want to date a radical pro lifer cause then any birth control mishaps are a deffinant child.
And I wouldn't date anyone who's against 2a laws. Couldn't live with someone trying to take power away from the people so we have to obey a tiranicle goverment. government.
And I also wouldn't date anyone who is openly racist, I can't stand that shit, I'm tired of scared little bitch white people who inflate statistics into "look see all of them do it", I don't care how many of whatever group do whatever, they do not all do it.

Probably best to avoid people who are trans activists to, they tend to be completely unreasonable. I support trans people doing whatever they want for the most part but I don't support transwomen in sports, but I geuss that's just not good enough for them. Plus that one time a transwoman was in a women's hot spring with her dick hanging out made all the women uncomfortable, which they have the right to be, they didn't plan on seeing a cock while they were relaxing in what is suppose to be a woman only area.

For dating I'm concerned primarily with mutual physical attraction, sexual compatibility, and no glaring personality conflicts. Political views are unlikely to affect the first. It could interfere with the second but not reliably.

So, the real threat is to a personality conflicts. I can't date someone who is deeply insecure, can't accept reality if it is boring, is full of hate, or desperate for a get-rich-quick scheme - each of which are attributes I associate with those on the opposite side of the political spectrum, with no counterexamples that i have seen in my 25 years of political awareness. If a girl proved to be a counterexample i would be pretty much entirely baffled and would entetain the idea of a relationship just for the curiosity's sake, if nothing else.

Probably not. I would be okay with a man who had some conservative views (like supporting the death penalty for the most heinous crimes or not wanting gun restrictions) but he should be at least somewhat socially liberal. By that I mean he has to be pro-choice and not try to ban same sex marriage. I obviously don't also want to be with a man who has bigotry and hatred towards minorities as I'm a minority myself.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions. But I wouldn't date the typical far-left liberal person, and that person wouldn't want to date me either. Our personalities would clash too much.

Girls who are all about socialism, pronouns, feminism, hating rich people, cancel culture, insulting everyone who disagrees with them, toxic masculinity, victimhood are a giant red-flag for me.

A girl doesn't need to share all of my views, as long as we can still stand each other.

If it wasn't already obvious, I am mostly conservative. Off the top of my head I can only think of one conservative opinion that I disagree with, which is same-sex marriage. I think it should be legal.

Ahhhh... it's cute when a woman says discrimination is wrong but the same woman didn't say a peep when she got into a dance club based on her looks while fugly women did not. She also won't say a peep if she gets hired into a job based on her tits while a woman with less got ignored. But we all have to avoid doing anything 'wrong' because women are judge & jury, right? No, I don't condone mistreating someone based on their skin color or ethnic background but I'm also not going to agree with some transgender that because they decided to cosplay as a woman they get to be women or that it makes their fugly selves attractive.

Having different points of view may be interesting to learn something from each other, but completely different political views can only lead to no good in a relation. At every tension names will be called to each other... Still, if both partners are of honest good will in general and with each other, something constructive may arise.

Yes because I actually hate politics, well they are necessary, not only do they bore me but I don't find them to be relevant to anything meaningful, nor does anyone smile when they are brought up. With that being said they would never be a deciding factor.

Absolutely NOT! I'm in the USA, and I could not, nor would not, ever date a trumper, or a staunch "right-wing conservative", for example. Anyone who supported or continues to support a person like Trump and his criminal cadre isn't someone I want to be with. There was a time when opposing political views didn't carry such hatred along with them, but that time seems long past now, at least in the USA.

My wife had vastly different political views when we got married but we were able to get past it. She is starting to come around to see the light of libertarianism now that we own a house and have children and pay taxes like #adults however.
