It depends, I would say my current partner and I have different views on somethings but not everything. We often debate and talk it out, but try not to get heated on the subjects. I think if we had complete opposite views, I couldn't date them though.

I personally don’t care who the political figure is. In fact, I listen to both sides. I was inspired to ask this question because two of my friends recently broke up because of the upcoming election and their political differences. Ridiculous of course!

Yes, there are plenty of people like that. A new acquaintance felt obligated to warn us in advance that his wife was liberal and had strong political opinions, as we were meet up for cocktails. I told him we don't choose our friends and people we like based on who happens to be in political office. She turned out to be a really nice lady, we had a great time.
