It is a dating app because:

• Design wise, it is done to highlight, clearly, our gender, constantly.
• Design wise, it makes us communicate on a deeper than usual level, through Q & A, reinforcing our interactions constantly.
• Design wise, it makes us talk about very personal topics, especially dating, relationships and sexuality sections.
• Design wise, private message system, though clunky and restrictive, makes us deepen interactions experienced in the public sections of the platform.
• It is a small community, we constantly stumble upon the same people, which makes us wonder, scan and spot, more or less unconsciously, for potential partners.

It is also a sexting app by the way, for reasons that are self-explanatory once you spend enough time here.
