So I have started this new relationship with this girl I vibed with from the start of the friendship. She is funny and very boyish\masculine\tomboy personality. She lives in the same country as me and the same state as me. Its a 12hr drive from my place to hers. Its quite distant but also not too much.
So for a few days, I have been noticing her. She is pretty happy and funny person. And we rarely argue in the relationship. She isn't a person who gives me stress she does geniunely make me happy. I dont know if thats the honeymoon phase thingy. But, what makes me a bit concerned is that. She occationally asks me for money to buy her makeup goods. Now considering this is a new start of a relationship. I avoid giving her big sum of cash since ofc I need some time and security first in the relationship. She looks like a innocent and loyal girl. Now coming back to the money thingy, usually I give her small amounts of money and she is happy in that. Sometimes yes she asks me to buy her makeup stuff. Which is something I can't afford at that moment. She doesn't get angry on that nor she blames me for being broke. Now I also look chopped, but she says I look cute and good. Now I dont know if she is being real or not. Or she is staying with me just because I come from a good family. She said that she prefers dates outside a cafe like on a nature park or something. So thats something I find good that she is not that cafe kind of girl.
Also she shares with me a lot of stuff intimately. Teasing me or teasing each other has been a normal part of our convo. But she is geniunely excited to meet me in person.
Now I dont know if she is using me for money or she geniunely likes me as a person and human being.
The reason for my insecurity comes from, I had been into a very bad and toxic relationship. Filled with abuse and gaslighting. And It took me years to get out of that trauma. Nowadays I be extra careful to whom I handle my trust too.
